Noored
Ühiskonna Heaks
is promoting a call for participants for a Seminar called “Transition Youth: Strategies for Youth
employability” which
will take place from 25th
until 31st March 2013
in Plunge, Lithuania.
This
partnership building activity aims to analyze the issues behind the current
youth employment crisis and conceive concerted action plans to improve young people’s
capability of gaining employment, bringing together youth workers and leaders
from different countries.
The participating
youth leaders are expected to devise solutions for the current situation and
support the European strategies for boosting employability, remarkably to what
regards “investing in skills training and anticipating future job requirements”
such as the EC recommended in the recent Employment package of 19/04/2012.
So, from this
project we expect as main result the creation of strong synergies of
cooperation between non-governmental organizations already established and
others with a lower level of experience that may benefit from the support of
more experienced associations. This network will be potentiated by an online
platform where members and followers can share their successful experiences and
their own strategies regarding the action of civil society in the fight against
unemployment.
This
event will bring together 30 participants from Greece, Estonia, Poland,
Portugal, Lithuania, Italy, Romania, Turkey and Bulgaria. The event will be
held in English. There are 3 vacancies available and
participants should have minimum 18 years old.
The
Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and
activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel
costs. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.
