EUROPEAN VOLUNTARY SERVICE IN PORTUGAL - CALL FOR VOLUNTEER!

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for volunteer for 1 European Voluntary Service placement called VEEhYcLE 2g - Volunteer in Erasmus + as an Engine (for social inclusion) of Young peopLE both for 12 months, which will take place from 1st September 2016 to 31st August 2017 in Olhão - Algarve, Portugal.

Voluntary activities:
During the first weeks there will be some meetings to verify attitudes, interests and abilities of every volunteer and will introduce at the project’s activity, subsequently volunteer will begin the following activities:
- Support the development of activities for youngsters, which will involve the preparation of group dynamics, team building activities, cultural activities, sport activities, and others, always in articulation with the association's team;
- School support, where the volunteer will have the chance to have direct contact with children and organise several outside activities;
- Promotion of games and activities for youngsters during the school breaks;
- Work at the social living room of MOJU´s head offices, which are open for the children and youngsters from Monday to Sunday, where the volunteer can help in the organisation of the space, in the organisation of activities for the holidays related to special events, in the organisation of sports activities and in the creation of new activities, among others;
- Support in the international relationships, helping the team in the organization of International Trainings for cooperation of people from different nationalities in various subjects, Youth Work Camps, for the promotion of volunteerism in various subjects and International Training and Exchange Programs;
- Office support in the internal level, helping the team with administrative tasks, making contacts with international partners and helping to establish new partnerships.

The volunteers will be actively involved in all phases of developing projects for youth in the framework of Youth in Action programme including planning, implementing, direct work with youth and evaluating the activities such as campaigns and promotion, youth camps, seminars and trainings and youth exchanges. That means being in contact with our international partners, coordination of meetings with young project participants, leading the workshops (optionally) and even assisting in newsletter preparation. The volunteers will be active participants in the Association. Volunteer will help in the activities and projects that we develop on the different fields. They can participate in manifold tasks and can also lend a helping hand in the organization itself, where the tasks will depend on their interests and abilities. The volunteers will take part in the organization of the various cultural events and youth activities that we offer and will be partially in charge of them. The volunteers also should work with youngsters, developing activities for and with them.
Weekly Schedule: Voluntary service will be carried out on 5 days per week and the schedule will not exceed 30 hours per week. The timetable it's in the moorning at 10h00, stopped at 13h00, and it restarts in the afternoon at 15h00 until 18h00. In exceptional cases, because of participation in special initiatives, a service during evening or festival days can be requested. The weekend is free except those weekends when exhibition or other workshops will be hold. Activities during the weekend are organized very often and each working day during the weekends will be substituted by one weekly day off. The typical weekly Schedule can be modified depending on the volunteer interest, in agreement with the Host Organization.
Language Training: the Portuguese language training will be provided 3 hours a week.
Holidays: 2 days off per month are foreseen during the service. These days can be gathered and used all together or in different times.

The volunteer will have good quality food and accommodation, included in the project budget. The places where the volunteer will live have a kitchen that can be used. A monthly contribution will be given to every volunteer in the amount of 150 Euros. The volunteer will receive during his stay in Olhão, a monthly pocket money. The amount is stipulated by the Erasmus + Programme and is equal to 100 Euros. Total cash support is in the amount of 250 euros in total.
Accommodation: The volunteer will live in a furnished rented flat shared with other EVS Volunteers, very close from the office and not far from centre of the town. The flat contains all the necessary amenities and is divided in different rooms, kitchen and bathroom.

The Erasmus + Programme will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants (up to 530 euros). We will provide full health insurance for the volunteer during the voluntary period.

YOUTH EXCHANGE IN CYPRUS - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called KNOW YOUR RIGHTS – USE YOUR RIGHTS. NO MORE DISCRIMINATION AND VIOLENCE” which will take place from 08th until 16th July 2016 in Agros, Cyprus.

The Project's objective is to provide young people from different countries with the opportunity for the exchange of experience and the competences. Other objectives of the project are to foster mutual understanding between young people in different countries; contribute to developing the quality of support systems for youth activities and the capabilities of civil society organisations in the youth field.  The project will enable the meeting of young people coming from different cultures, different social and ethnic environments. The activities aim to promote intercultural dialogue and allow the participants to get in contact with each other and with the foreign cultures.

The main goal of our project is the culture and promotion of Human Rights and equality to the Youth. The objective of this project is the promotion of human rights and intercultural dialogue through the mutual understanding among youngsters coming from 9 EU countries, which have different cultures, histories and traditions, but are walking the same path in the European Union, sharing values and principles.Our project is created to contribute to the development of human rights education with young people in order to promote mutual understanding, peace, friendship, respect for human dignity and human rights, non-violence and non-discrimination and act against persistent violations of human rights.  

This event will bring together 58 participants from 9 European Countries. The event will be held in English. There are 6 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old until 25 years old.

The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 270 euros. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

EUROPEAN VOLUNTARY SERVICE IN FRANCE - CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS!!!

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for volunteer for 2 European Voluntary Service placements called Ambassadors for European Values” both for 12 months, which will take place from 1st September 2016 to 31st August 201 in Bordeaux, France.

Description of the project:
The context in France and also in Europe (rise of extremism, electoral abstention ...) needs to value the foundations of the European Union and citizen mobilization of young people around the European charter.
The main idea of the project is a better understanding of Europe and its institutions.
Young people, who will participate at the project of European voluntary service, will implement awareness raising and education that will promote interculturalism and peer learning.
Within the project, there will be 14 volunteers coupled with 5 young people from civic service, who will represent on the territory of Europe multiple, diverse, and engaged citizens around the sharing values, peace...
Each tandem formed by person from civic service and European voluntary service will be the ambassador of values and traditions of European culture.
Such young people will have the opportunity to engage in collective action as well as developing their educational, technical and pedagogical competences.
This project will give them the opportunity to co-construct simply responses (find simply solutions) to local problems and at the same time they will benefit from this contribution in their individual path.

Voluntary activities:
Each volunteer in tandem with a young French civic service with educational or social structures of the territory will intervene during the leisure time. Interventions will be also organised in public space, specialized reception centres (disability, retirement home etc.).
The main activities include: organizing games, debates, cultural activities, sports or the activities will be based on the wills of young people.
The first three months, young people will receive theoretical, practical and technical knowledge and tools, which they will use later, during their interventions. The first three months will take the form of workshop morning and afternoon to create and leave spaces for young people to develop intervention tools suited to their personality.

Young volunteers will create different types of intervention: a specific intervention for raising awareness about Europe, a cycle of several sessions to develop further on a thematic approach (arts, sport, and traditions).
The young people will be the European ambassadors during the European event.
During the first three months of 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. alternate who will participate in workshops open creative spaces for young people based on the topics that interest to develop and according pairs.

Pocket money - Each volunteer will receive 115 per month as pocket money plus 8 euros per day for food (so 355 euros per month in total). Moreover, National Agency support them with 50 euros each month (but they will paid it in total once usually after Christmas). 

Accomodation - volunteers will live in student's Residence with other. MEBA will manage everything. In Residence 2 volunteers will live in one appartement with toilette, bathroom, small kitchen and two separated rooms. Each one will have WIFI connection, bed, table and some shelves for clothes. Volunteer should get their own sheets. 

The Erasmus + Programme will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants (up to 360 euros). We will provide full health insurance for the volunteer during the voluntary period.
