TRAINING IN GEORGIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS - URGENT

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called Leave your Traces – Fill the Empty Spaceswhich will take place in 8th until 15th September 2013 in Kobuleti, Georgia.

The training aims to obtain the skills and raise competencies about active participation, empowerment and involvement of young people as well as about the establishment of local self-initiatives. Therefore, the training aims to build a contribution to the involvement of young people in local and regional activities and help them to increase initiatives dealing with a variety of youth issues. The expected outcome of the training are trained youth workers, young leaders and young people willing and able to set up new creative local youth initiatives on issues of local concerns in their surrounding communities.

OBJECTIVES:
To develop a common understanding of participation and explore instruments for its promotion
To develop the participants' understanding of the key principles of youth participation;
among groups of young people who have fewer opportunities in civil society or youth activities at local and regional level;
To get familiar with various concepts and methodologies for developing youth initiatives;
To improve participants’ skills in project-management (related to participation projects);
To develop participants’ competence in using the revised European Charter on the Participation of Young People in Local and Regional Life /publication of Council of Europe/
To encourage exchange of good practices on building and management of youth participation projects;
This event will bring together 24 participants from European Union countries and Eastern Europe and Caucasus. The event will be held in English. There are 3 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.
The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

TRAINING IN ALBANIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called emPOWERing Skillswhich will take place in 1st until 8th October 2013 in Albania.

The AIM of this activity is that aims to bring together youth workers, leaders and youth activist, to empower them on the entrepreneurial skills, through the use of non-formal education methodology. The training will explore the concept of Social inclusion and exclusion, employment and unemployment topic for youngsters with disadvantages, sharing information, best practices on youth projects and country realities. Combating social exclusion and poverty and deepen the meaning of empowerment of youngsters with fewer opportunities and how it is searched in various sectors of life (economy, politics, education and health).

The seven days Training will be implemented by using the non-formal education approach, the experiential learning and the learning by doing methodology, through the use or several methods such as: group work, discussion, role plays, simulations, debates, trust building games, presentations, etc.

This event will bring together 27 participants from 9 different countries from European Union and South East Europe. The event will be held in English. There are 3 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

SEMINAR IN SERBIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Seminar called SeminaR3 – Reuse, Reduce and Recyclewhich will take place in 26th September until 02nd October 2013 in Banja Vrujci, Serbia.

SeminaR3 is a 6 day multilateral seminar that will take place in Serbia that involves SEE countries, European Program Countries and Eastern Europe and Caucasus in a total of 20 countries and 40 participants.
SeminaR3 aim is to improve and share competence of youth workers, leaders and project managers among youth NGO's to develop projects in a sustainable way using a simple rule - REDUCE - REUSE -RECYCLE and create an amendment document with those concrete examples to be applied among all partners projects and organizations. This project intends to create a network of “green” organizations working on sustainable resources to implementation of joint activities under concrete bases of environmental friendly approach.

The methods used in this seminar will be interactive and non-formal (group discussion, simulations, theater and experts interviews), where each participant will have the opportunity to share his/her own experience and develop a common document with the good practices in "Green Skills" around Partner and Neighborhood countries. SeminaR3 intends to empower NGO's and local communities for the importance of materials management and sustainable environment, from local based economies to green-loop productions having young people as "engine" in that transformation.

This event will bring together 40 participants from European Member states, Eastern European and Caucasus and South East European countries. The event will be held in English. There are 2 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

SEMINAR IN ARMENIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Seminar called Gender Perspectives in Europewhich will take place in 14th until 21st September 2013 in Yerevan, Armenia.

The aim of our project is to bring together organisations and groups from Europe in order to enhance their cooperation in the field of gender and give them a platform to develop new projects and ideas within possibilities given under Youth in Action Programme.

It will be a unique opportunity for participants coming from 30 different organisations based in different parts of Europe; Western Europe, Northern Europe, Southern Europe, Eastern Europe and Caucasus to share experiences of past projects on gender and exchange useful information, to acquire knowledge about possibilities of cooperation on gender issues across Europe and to develop new projects within Youth in Action Programme.

During 6 working days of PBA study visits will be organised to different NGOs working in the respective field. NGO fair will be organised where other local NGO-s will have a chance to meet their European partners and develop partnerships. Through workshops and informal networking the emphasis and importance during the PBA will be placed on each participant’s own experiences and individual skills.

This event will bring together 30 participants from European Member states and Eastern European and Caucasus countries. The event will be held in English. There is 1 vacancy available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

TRAINING IN GEORGIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called Leader’s Factorywhich will take place in 18th until 25th September 2013 in Kobuleti, Georgia.

The project is based on our believe, that group leaders from different NGOs, with different background are able to increase the quality of Youth Projects through finding appropriate models of motivating youth to actively participate in a process and gain new skills and knowledge.

The main objective of the project is to find these forms and methods of motivation, where the leader is not only a teacher or mentor, but he/she plays an active role of a facilitator who knows technology of involving youngsters.

During the training course we want to elaborate these techniques, to develop suitable systems for youth workers that thy can use in their work within the projects of Youth in Action Program.

This event will bring together 24 participants from Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Turkey, Ukraine and Azerbaijan. The event will be held in English. There are 5 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

CALL FOR EVS VOLUNTEER IN PORTUGAL - PROJECT APPROVED - URGENT

Edela Eesti Arenuskeskus in cooperation with Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for volunteers for a project called “Europale” which will take place from 1st September 2013 until 1st March 2014 in Évora, Portugal!

Brief summary of the project:  Omnis Factum Association presents the EVS project entitled "EUROPALE" meaning Alentejo in Europe in order to give the opportunity to four (4) young people from four (4) different countries of the European Union to develop a volunteer project with young people living in one of the most aged zone of Portugal.

The district of Évora will thus be benefited from the presence of volunteers who want, above all,  interact with the population in order to assist in the development of European citizenship, long forgotten in that community. It is intended that the youth interact with the volunteers in order to make present in their day-to-day, issues such as citizenship, participation, volunteering, intercultural, inter-generational dialogue, human rights, anti-discrimination, among many others. We also wanted the project to tap future European affairs, notably the European elections, because this was also the district where there was greater abstention in 2009.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to create and develop activities for the general population, such as informal meetings with young people, workshop, training courses, games, outdoor activities, sports, conferences, cultural events, among others.
In this project the participating countries are Portugal, Estonia, Czech Republic, Greece and Austria. We will have in this partnership a local host organization, which is the Municipio de Viana do Alentejo to help implement the project in the district of Évora.

Draft Work Schedule and responsibilities: the volunteers will work in several places such as public schools, local associations, Omnis Factum main house in Evora and the city hall of Viana do Alentejo. The plan is also to go to other places of the district but it's not yet confirmed because we need to know the possibility of other city's to have the volunteers.

Work time:
Maximum 35 hours weekly.
Daily agenda: 10:00 to 18:00
Free days: two days per every week. (Saturday, Sunday) The work hours are flexible depending on the volunteer’s and the instructor’s needs. If the volunteer has to work on the weekend, then the volunteer gets the free day in another time. Every month the volunteer has two free days! It means that during 12 month the volunteer has 24 days for holiday.

Financial conditions:
Travel – 90% of the travel to go and return to Portugal.
Accommodation – The project cover 100% of the accommodation of the volunteer. The volunteer will share the flat with another volunteer.
Food – There is a fixed amount of money delivered to the volunteer which should allow him/her to don’t have any costs with the alimentation. The amount will be around 300 euros per month.
Activities – All working activities are 100% paid by the project
Pocket Money – The volunteer will receive 95 Euros per month of the project.
Insurance – Every EVS volunteer must be enrolled into the Group Insurance Plan for EVS volunteers foreseen by the Youth in Action Programme, which complements the coverage by national social security systems. All costs with doctors are paid or reimbursed with the AXA volunteer insurance.

EVS Training and Evaluation Cycle: The volunteer will have the chance to join the following trainings during his EVS time free of charge!
�� pre-departure training (before go to the project)
�� on-arrival training (in the first month in Portugal)
�� mid-term evaluation (in the end of the year)
�� evaluation of the Activity. (when return to Estonia).

Profile of the volunteer:
The volunteer should have a minimum 18 years old and a maximum 30 years old. We are looking for a serious and outgoing person who can work well in a team and by him/herself. We are having constantly programs with youngsters and children.

TRAINING IN UK - CALL FOR PARTCIPANTS - URGENT

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called Human Rights, Human Needswhich will take place in 17th until 26st August 2013 in Devon, England.

A training course in using a range of active methods (creative Arts, Theatre and experiential learning) to develop a better understanding of the relationship between Human rights and Human needs & participation within our communities, within Europe, and how these can inform our response to interpersonal and inter groups challenges.

By being taken through an intense process which employs a unique set of activities, participants will develop confidence in and greater awareness of the causes of conflict, management strategies, and the demystification of human rights/needs concepts. In addition those engaged will add to their toolkit of activities with which to engage single and mixed identity groups of young people.

The course will involve problem solving, discussion, improvisation, negotiation, excursions and presentations. A variety of media will be employed to create temporary and permanent issue based work. Interaction will be facilitated with local groups and audiences.

This event will bring together 24 participants from UK, Estonia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Germany, Macedonia, Latvia and Poland. The event will be held in English. There are 2 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

TRAINING IN ITALY - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS - URGENT

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called BE P.ART!which will take place in 01st until 08th September 2013 in Torino, Italy.

The aim of this meeting is therefore to create a valid partnership between the participating groups.
All participants will learn how to create a good Y.I.A. training project and to use Art and artistic techniques for their work with youth.

By using a short set of ideal training projects, created through discussions and brainstorming’s, by analyzing and sharing knowledge in the use of artistic techniques (visual, sculpture, music and performing arts) in non formal education practices and by creating a network of associations interested in using and promoting them in the frame of the Youth in Action Programme and other Youth Activities.

This event will bring together 20 participants from Bulgaria, Estonia, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey. The event will be held in English. There are 2 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.
