Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call
for participants for a Training Course called “Get Active to Get Healthy” which will take place
in 05th until 13th
November 2014 in Poronin,
Poland.
GET ACTIVE TO GET HEALTHY is an international training course for youth
workers, facilitators who on daily bases work with youngsters trying to
encourage them to take an active way of spending free time with benefits for
health. Many of young people working at desk for eight hours a day working in
from of the computer and then go home and head for couch to surf the Internet,
watching TV or playing computer games.
Research indicates that the amount of leisure time spent sitting in the
front of a screen can have such an overwhelming, seemingly irreparable impact
on health. We want to offer, exchange and develop tools to encourage youngster
to do physical activity which produce much more benefit. Main goal of our
project is to promote healthy lifestyle, pro-health prevention and healthy
eating. We will try to show alternative options of leisure and changing
sedentary activities to active leisure.
During the training people will get to know each other, break stereotype
and gain knowledge about national traditions and culture other country. This
project will be also a good possibility to development knowledge in new EU
program Erasmus + which European Union offered to young people who dream about
better self-development and healthy life style.
