TRAINING COURSE IN ITALY - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS!

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called “Peace Leaders +” which will take place from 03^rd until 10^th May 2017 in Lecce, Italy.

The training is based on the fact, that group leaders from different NGOs should be able to increase the quality of YE through finding appropriate models of motivating young people to actively participate in the activities and to gain new skills with knowledge. The main idea is through the laboratory to find the form of motivating, where leader is not a teacher or mentor, where leader plays a role of a facilitator who knows methods of youth involvement, mostly mindful methods.

TC will introduce the idea of mindful leadership; will give the tools that enable young people to become more aware of their actions, choices, decisions and its impact as well as to improve social skills and interpersonal communication.

The aim is to improve quality of YE (in frames of Erasmus +) by providing space for YE group leaders to develop their competences, focusing on inner peace, motivation and learning support.

This event will bring together 25 participants from Italy, UK, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece. The event will be held in English. There is 1 vacancy available and participants should have minimum 18 years old and involved on the youth field.

The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 330 euros. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

TRAINING COURSE IN ARMENIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called “Conflict vs. Connection: A Practical Training for Young Peace-Builders"” which will take place from 10^th until 17^th April 2017 in Yerevan, Armenia.

The course will be focusing on diversity, conflict transformation and emphatic communication. Seeing diversity as a barrier instead of appreciating its enrichment has been playing a substantial role in both the national and international debates and politics in each of the participating countries for decades. The transformation of the conflicts starts from us: our hearts being in war or in peace, our way of communication. When we grow in peace with ourselves, we can continue to bring the transformation to our surroundings: our interpersonal relations, the way we connect and relate to our families, friends, acquaintances, strangers, communities. All these topics will be brought to attention in the TC.

Getting a better understanding in how we, people, function and what gets us together and keeps us walking the same direction is crucial for youth workers and peace builders of today. This will be done by promoting non-violent approaches leading to actions on peace-building and promotion of Human Rights. Moreover, young leaders will discuss the significant role of youth participation in grass-root peace-building initiatives.

Through non formal education methods the participants will get to know each other and will be given a space to exchange experiences and forge new friendships, across any barriers that may exist. All the topics will be brought to attention in the training using the 'learning by doing' methodology, where the participant becomes the protagonist of the learning experience, gets new insights and learning after observing and reflecting over his or hers behaviour in different exercises, games, processes and role plays offered by the trainers and gets a possibility to try out new approaches, ways of communicating and actions in a safe environment of a group setting. The participants will acquire the skills and knowledge to transfer the used methods to concerned parties outside of the project.

This event will bring together 36 participants from Armenia, Cyprus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, Russian Federation, Ukraine and Turkey. The event will be held in English. There are 3 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old and interested in the youth field.
