Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called “EUWAY” which will take place in 21^st February until 1^st March 2014 in Pristina, Kosovo.

The proposed training course is dedicated to European citizenship and youth participation in view to contribute to a cohesive and just European community. As a starting point the current situation of young people in the EU and its neighborhood region will be discussed, focusing specifically on young people with fewer opportunities. Then concepts of participation will be framed by putting them into the context of European citizenship and investigating on the accessibility of EU institutions and decision-making processes for young Europeans and their concerns. At the end, based on the newly gained insights, the participants will be asked to develop participatory projects aiming at the inclusion of young people and social cohesion in Europe starting from the local level.

Methodology: The training course is based on a non-formal and trainee centered approach putting the needs and abilities of the participants into the center of the activity. A wide range of educational methods will be applied ranging from role plays, simulation exercises, workshops, and short interactive exercises.

The applied methodology shall foster the participants’ learning process and exchange of competences among them by involving them emotionally and by providing learning opportunities based on practical examples. Therefore, whenever applicable individual experiences will present the basis for learning and development of understanding of the issue in discussion.

The event will be held in English. There are 2 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “Be active, be a citizen!” which will take place in 25^th February until 07^th March 2014 in Bakuriani, Georgia.

The Youth Exchange “Be active, be a citizen!” aims at an introduction of young participants to the field of youth empowerment and inclusion. The YE aims to help youngsters to become active members of the society and improve their capacities to organise and lead actions and projects targeting their own needs and interests.

“Be active, be a citizen!” will explore different possibilities of youth participation and will set a platform to learn how young people can take an active role at local and international level, in order to make their voice heard regarding youth current challenges in their countries. Different tools and approaches for active participation of young people and means of influencing and creating youth policy on local, national and international level will be core elements of the Youth Exchange. Last but not least, the Youth Exchange shall contribute to develop the capacity of civil society organisations and individuals working with and for young people to aggregate their interests and needs on social reality and political agenda.

Participants will also organize a street action in Bakuriani/Borjomi, in order to understand their capacity to self-organize and perform actions by themselves, the process behind them and to have a local impact in the community.

The specific target group of the project is youth volunteering or working with inclusion of marginalized groups, protection of Human Rights, volunteering policies and programmes, democracy and election observation, employability and education, etc.

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called “NFE Let Young People to Learn” which will take place in 1^st until 10^th March 2014 in Struga, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM).

Training course NFE: Let the Young People Learn focus on non-formal education as a way of empowering and activating young people and providing them an opportunity for developing life skills needed to succeed.

NFE: Let the Young People Learn aims to tackle non-formal education as important feature of YiA Programme with goal to provide experienced youth workers, leaders, newcomers in the field of youth work an opportunity to increase their understanding of non-formal education and abilities to use different methods based on non-formal education especially for empowering young people facing social exclusion and its consequences.

Within 8 – days training course that will include outdoor challenges, simulations, role plays, group works, discussions as theoretical insights 28 participants coming from Azerbaijan, Russia, Moldova, Georgia, Belarus, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Italy, Croatia, Slovakia, Estonia, Czech Republic, Malta, Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Spain and Macedonia will have an opportunity to develop their skills (facilitation, communication, team work and leadership) as increase their knowledge about non-formal education and its methods needed when implementing activities that are relevant to needs of disadvantaged groups.

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “Smiling Faces” which will take place in 02^nd until 10^th February 2014 in Adana, Turkey.

Most of us enjoy our mental and physical health. We rarely think of the life of handicapped people such as Down syndrome children. Each Down's syndrome child has their own abilities, personalities, thoughts, love and emotions as there are social experiences. Their personal development and behaviours are closely related to education, social environment and awareness of us. However, society isolates them from social life which prevents their personal development. From this fact, we aim to give a ‘Hand’ and encourage Down syndrome children to hold life strongly.

Therefore, the main objective of this project is to increase consciences among participants towards Down syndrome children and also every participant will understands the importance of “being normal”. During the project days we’ll do several activities such as playing, singing, drawing, painting, sports with those children to get into their heart. There will be groups from France, Estonia, England, Turkey, Romania and Lithuania.

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called “Creativity for Employment” which will take place in 1^st until 8^th February 2014 in Svyatogorsky, Ukraine.

This is a training course for youth leader and workers who want to develop creativity as an essential competence to success within the new job market. The aim is to gain key competences and skills which can, afterward, be shared and transmitted to the community they will be working with. In the training course will be used methods of experiential and experimental learning as role plays, simulations and group sharing methods, small and large groups discussions. Together, we will be working on new alternative methods and techniques for young people to be successful in the dynamic, uncertain, and not always clear labour market.

The TC will be held in Svyatogorsk/Ukraine, will last 8 days and the partners are based in Program countries and Eastern Partnership. Svyatogorsk is a famous health resort of Donbass, spread over the picturesque banks of the Seversky Donetsk river. It is famous for its beautiful nature and unique historical architecture heritage and for its charming nature admired by a lot of Russian and Ukrainian writers, painters and composers who visited it in the past. It may be defined the “Donetsk Switzerland.”

PROJECT IN MACEDONIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

“Re-Creating Europe in PEACE” which will take place from  28^th November  until 4^th  December 2013 in Stip, Macedonia.   

„Re-Creating Europe in PEACE” is a six day training course on peace building.The activity is based on holistic educational approach where the insight given into peace education is of high importance for acquiring competences needed to make each day of our lives to be without discrimination and violence. The activity will provide a possibility for young people, youth leaders, workers and volunteers to develop their abilities and skills to promote peaceful means of conflict transformations, starting from their inner peace to peace among individuals and groups.This training course will empower the participants with peace educaiton tools and methods used in conflict management and conflict resolution with young people where they will be able to act for peaceful change in Europe.

What are our objectives of the activity?

- To develop specific trainer competences related to work with conflict management;

- To give participants knowledge on peace building;

- To promote the Youth in Action programme as a tool for peace education;   

The methodology will include communication based methods (interaction, dialogue, open discussions), activity based methods (sharing experience, practice and experimentation), socially focused methods (partnerships, teamwork, networking) and self directing methods (creativity, discovery, responsibility, action).

PROJECT IN PORTUGAL - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS - URGENT

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a project called “EVS4ALL” which will take place in 10^th until 14^th  November 2013

 in Beja, Portugal.   

The seminar will bring together 28 participants from diferent 14 countries (Portugal, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Estonia, Hungria, Grécia, Burgaria, Romenia, France, Czech Replublic, Germany, Croatia and Cyprus) will gather with the aim of finding partners for transnational co-operation on European Voluntary Service (EVS).

EVS4ALL project objectives are: get to know organizations interested in finding partners for EVS projects based on links of trust and solidarity among;  provide an opportunity for key actors to share their views about EVS; visit EVS projects in real practice and share good practices among peers; facilitate the creation EVS projects by putting participants in real practice; promote active citizenship and mutual understanding among people working in the youth field.

The activities will be based in active and non formal educational methods: team building, discussion sessions, work and reflection groups, visualizing videos and games, intercultural evenings, visit of the local community, etc

The seminar will bring together 30 youth workers, leaders and volunteers from different parts of
Europe. This project addresses national and ethnic minorities.

This training course will allow the participants to address the problems of discrimination in more competent way and to improve their work aiming to achieve better understanding and intercultural dialogue in their local communities.
In the same time this project promotes young people's active citizenship, by aiming at their empowerment with knowledge, practical educational skills enabling them to use this theoretical knowledge in practice and improve their work against discrimination and towards intercultural understanding.

The training course will be based on using non – formal techniques and methods, such as:
discussions, problem solving techniques, mediations tools, pedagogical games, debates,
brainstorming, and plenary sessions with presentations by experts and participants,
knowledge sharing and best practices and simulations.

The seminar will give the participants the opportunity not only to expand their knowledge and skills but also to establish working relationships, aimed at future cooperation in terms of sending and hosting volunteers. In addition, the seminar will seek empowerment of youth leader and youth workers with the competencies of active participation and inclusion.

The seminar will be implemented on basis of non-formal education, with a mosaic of several methods that are linked in the day by day program in order to assure the best space to learn, share and connect for all the participants that shall be trainers, youth workers, active leaders in youth work and those involved in participation projects in different levels.

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called “From Scratch to Action” which will take place in 07^th until 14^th October 2013 in Berlin, Germany.

It is an international training course directed to managers working already in NGOs as well as experienced youth workers who are planning to establish own organisation in the future.

Main AIM of the project is to rise the capacity of participants in the organisational management of association working in favour of youth:

v  providing knowledge and skills in the management of NGO

v  sharing good practices from the daily work of participants

v  creating a toolbox of practical solutions 

v  creating strategic plan for the future cooperation

v  establishing new NGOs working in favour of youth in participating countries

v  empowering active participation in youth work on the European level

As a result of the project we will create a model of organisation, which can be adjusted to the particular needs of every participating group. Such model will be an example of practical solutions and a good base to start a new organisation from the very beginning.

This event will bring together 24 participants from Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, Romania and Great Britain. The event will be held in English. There are 2 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

EXCHANGE IN SLOVENIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS - URGENT!

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “Ditching the Wifi for the Wildlife” which will take place in 25^th August until 03^rd September 2013 in Jezersko, Slovenia.

The main goals of the project are: gain experience of life in nature, getting to know traditional, sustainable ways of living with nature, getting familiar with the basics of mountaineering, broaden awareness of the present state in the field of actively spending free time in nature, causes for that state and discuss possible solutions for improvement, share experiences, share ideas of European Union and broaden results of the project in local areas.

For successful implementation we will perform activities like: mountain hiking, discussions, workshops, national nights around the camping fire, visit of adrenaline park, learning of old methods of working with local people, visiting surroundings and playing team building games. We believe methods like: working in groups, public speaking, reflections, sport activities, brainstorming, learning with active participation will help us reach good results and successfully promote active spending of free time in nature throughout Europe.  

This Exchange will bring together 35 participants from Estonia, Turkey, Malta, Czech Republic and Slovenia, France and Romania. The exchange will be held in English. There are 5 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

The training aims to obtain the skills and raise competencies about active participation, empowerment and involvement of young people as well as about the establishment of local self-initiatives. Therefore, the training aims to build a contribution to the involvement of young people in local and regional activities and help them to increase initiatives dealing with a variety of youth issues. The expected outcome of the training are trained youth workers, young leaders and young people willing and able to set up new creative local youth initiatives on issues of local concerns in their surrounding communities.

OBJECTIVES:

• To develop a common understanding of participation and explore instruments for its promotion
• To develop the participants' understanding of the key principles of youth participation;
among groups of young people who have fewer opportunities in civil society or youth activities at local and regional level;
• To get familiar with various concepts and methodologies for developing youth initiatives;
• To improve participants’ skills in project-management (related to participation projects);
• To develop participants’ competence in using the revised European Charter on the Participation of Young People in Local and Regional Life /publication of Council of Europe/

The AIM of this activity is that aims to bring together youth workers, leaders and youth activist, to empower them on the entrepreneurial skills, through the use of non-formal education methodology. The training will explore the concept of Social inclusion and exclusion, employment and unemployment topic for youngsters with disadvantages, sharing information, best practices on youth projects and country realities. Combating social exclusion and poverty and deepen the meaning of empowerment of youngsters with fewer opportunities and how it is searched in various sectors of life (economy, politics, education and health).

The seven days Training will be implemented by using the non-formal education approach, the experiential learning and the learning by doing methodology, through the use or several methods such as: group work, discussion, role plays, simulations, debates, trust building games, presentations, etc.

SEMINAR IN SERBIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Seminar called “SeminaR3 – Reuse, Reduce and Recycle” which will take place in 26^th September until 02^nd October 2013 in Banja Vrujci, Serbia.

SeminaR3 is a 6 day multilateral seminar that will take place in Serbia that involves SEE countries, European Program Countries and Eastern Europe and Caucasus in a total of 20 countries and 40 participants.

SeminaR3 aim is to improve and share competence of youth workers, leaders and project managers among youth NGO's to develop projects in a sustainable way using a simple rule - REDUCE - REUSE -RECYCLE and create an amendment document with those concrete examples to be applied among all partners projects and organizations. This project intends to create a network of “green” organizations working on sustainable resources to implementation of joint activities under concrete bases of environmental friendly approach.

The methods used in this seminar will be interactive and non-formal (group discussion, simulations, theater and experts interviews), where each participant will have the opportunity to share his/her own experience and develop a common document with the good practices in "Green Skills" around Partner and Neighborhood countries. SeminaR3 intends to empower NGO's and local communities for the importance of materials management and sustainable environment, from local based economies to green-loop productions having young people as "engine" in that transformation.

This event will bring together 40 participants from European Member states, Eastern European and Caucasus and South East European countries. The event will be held in English. There are 2 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

SEMINAR IN ARMENIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Seminar called “Gender Perspectives in Europe” which will take place in 14^th until 21^st September 2013 in Yerevan, Armenia.

The aim of our project is to bring together organisations and groups from Europe in order to enhance their cooperation in the field of gender and give them a platform to develop new projects and ideas within possibilities given under Youth in Action Programme.

It will be a unique opportunity for participants coming from 30 different organisations based in different parts of Europe; Western Europe, Northern Europe, Southern Europe, Eastern Europe and Caucasus to share experiences of past projects on gender and exchange useful information, to acquire knowledge about possibilities of cooperation on gender issues across Europe and to develop new projects within Youth in Action Programme.

During 6 working days of PBA study visits will be organised to different NGOs working in the respective field. NGO fair will be organised where other local NGO-s will have a chance to meet their European partners and develop partnerships. Through workshops and informal networking the emphasis and importance during the PBA will be placed on each participant’s own experiences and individual skills.
