URGENT - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS - INTERNATIONAL MEETING

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a International Meeting called Employability United” which will take place in 18th until 25th January 2015 in Strasbourg (European Youth Center), France.

We, Y-SRN, are a group of young people and adults coming from a different background and with different professional profiles who are willing to work together towards improvement of access to social rights for young people. One of the priorities for our working plan 2014 – 2016 is to support the employment of young people across Europe, and to create a long term partnership between different stakeholders in order to support young people in gaining autonomy and accessing employment.

Being aware that youth employment and autonomy matters to everybody, we decided to make a step forward and invite young people, youth workers, local authorities and business sector representatives at “the same table” to join efforts and establish partnerships needed to support access to employment and autonomy of young people in Europe, their inclusion in societies and active participation as responsible citizens.

Aim and objectives
Aim: To promote and support access to employment and autonomy for young people by training and networking among young people, youth organizations/youth workers, local authorities and business sector representatives.
Objectives:
 To familiarize participants with the specific aspects of gaining autonomy for young people;
 To discuss and share attitudes, knowledge and experience related to employment and employment trends in Europe affecting young people;
 To familiarize participants with practices, policies and systems that support access to employment for young people in different local realities;
 To discuss and reflect on knowledge, skills and support measures that youth workers, local authorities, business sector representatives need to be competent in, so as to support young people in gaining autonomy and accessing employment;

We are looking for 3 participants with the following profile:
Young people
 18 – 30 with little or no experience in international activities who have never been to European Youth Centre;
 Highly motivated;
 To have a good understanding of and to be able to work in English;
 Social Entrepreneurs, freelancers, employed, unemployed and others.

Local authority’s representatives
 Highly motivated;
 To have a good understanding of and to be able to work in English;
 Knowledge and experience on access to social rights for young people with accent on access to employment and employment related issues;
 Working in sectors related to youth issues or employment.

Business sector representatives
 Highly motivated;
 To have a good understanding of and to be able to work in English;
 Working in structured company with min. 5 employees;
 Involved in decision making process in the company.

This event will bring together 40 participants from 10 European countries. The event will be held in English. 

There are 3 vacancies (1 per profile) available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.
The European Youth Foundation will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants. There will be a participation fee of 80 Eur. per participant.
