SEMINAR IN LITHUANIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS


Noored Ühiskonna Heaks is promoting a call for participants for a Seminar called Transition Youth: Strategies for Youth employability” which will take place from 25th until 31st March 2013 in Plunge, Lithuania.

This partnership building activity aims to analyze the issues behind the current youth employment crisis and conceive concerted action plans to improve young people’s capability of gaining employment, bringing together youth workers and leaders from different countries.

The participating youth leaders are expected to devise solutions for the current situation and support the European strategies for boosting employability, remarkably to what regards “investing in skills training and anticipating future job requirements” such as the EC recommended in the recent Employment package of 19/04/2012.

So, from this project we expect as main result the creation of strong synergies of cooperation between non-governmental organizations already established and others with a lower level of experience that may benefit from the support of more experienced associations. This network will be potentiated by an online platform where members and followers can share their successful experiences and their own strategies regarding the action of civil society in the fight against unemployment.

This event will bring together 30 participants from Greece, Estonia, Poland, Portugal, Lithuania, Italy, Romania, Turkey and Bulgaria. The event will be held in English. There are 3 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

TRAINING IN POLAND - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS


Noored Ühiskonna Heaks is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called CoexEast which will take place from 13th until 20th March 2013 in Bielsko-Biała, Poland

CoexEast is a transnational co-operation project focused mainly on anti-discrimination and anti-xenophobia issues in a globalised world. Together with it, other subjects will be brought up, such as: inter-cultural and inter-religious dialogue, democracy, European awareness and citizenship or human rights.

Training aims at transferring knowledge, expanding skills, shaping positive attitudes of the trainers and building mutual understanding between countries, despite their historical and cultural differences in order to raise awareness for the protection of human rights and personal dignity. Together with increasing of human potential by providing learning opportunities to develop personal skills and professional competencies.

The objectives are:
To provide wider perspective on the topics of discrimination and xenophobia to youth leaders, trainers, youth workers, project managers, and volunteers from participating countries;
To expose the diverse ways discrimination and xenophobia are perceived in different countries;
To broaden participants' knowledge of diversified and complicated history of Eastern Europe;
To give the ground for sharing our experiences from so different environments;
To improve participants’ competences in using rights-based approaches to tackle
situations of discrimination and xenophobia in their own surroundings;
To share materials and familiarise with non-formal education methods;
To equip educators with skills needed to design and implement discussions on the topics of discriminationand xenophobia;
To expand a network of qualified trainers and youth workers able to work in the fields of human rights (with focus on discrimination and xenophobia) in Europe and Caucasus region.

This event will bring together 33 participants from Albania, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Kosovo, Lithuania, Romania and Serbia. The event will be held in English. There are 3 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

SEMINAR IN BOSNIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS


Noored Ühiskonna Heaks are promoting a call for participants for a Partnership Building Activity called Gathering potentials – Developing sustainable partnerships: Struggling Youth Unemployment in Europe mutually which will take place from 02nd until 08th March 2013 in Ključ, Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The project aims to gather youth NGOs from programme countries and neighbouring partner countries from SEE to create stable partnerships for common youth activities in order to promote the personal, social and professional competence of unemployed youth, to share how to stimulate mobility and active participation of unemployed young people, at the same time positively influencing their employability. 

The planned program gives the opportunity to discuss working experiences and strategies of NGOs in their work with youth, in order to give new impulses, to share possible ways to break the issue down and to come up with creative ideas and support for practitioners in the international youth field. The PBA will provide the occasion to share experiences, to foster sustainable and equivalent partnerships, to support capacity building, to contribute towards inventive projects by exploring new working methods and strategies, to improve the quality of future projects and to develop further activities. The methods used will be based on the principles and practise of non-formal education taking into account the needs, motivations and previous experiences of the partners and participants.

Further the PBA will provide space for debate, for individual and group reflection, and encourage exchange of best practices. The debriefings of the common work and the achieved results will be accompanied by theoretical inputs and presentations that will complement the outcomes of the common work. Finally the project will support the participants to explore the opportunities of the YiA programme for the work with young people, to establish new contacts and create stable partnerships among organisations and to create new projects.
