TRAINING IN MACEDONIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS - URGENT

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called “Alphabet for equality in Europe” which will take place in 8th until 15thNovember 2013 in Dojran, Macedonia 

The seminar will bring together 30 youth workers, leaders and volunteers from different parts of
Europe. This project addresses national and ethnic minorities.

This training course will allow the participants to address the problems of discrimination in more competent way and to improve their work aiming to achieve better understanding and intercultural dialogue in their local communities.
In the same time this project promotes young people's active citizenship, by aiming at their empowerment with knowledge, practical educational skills enabling them to use this theoretical knowledge in practice and improve their work against discrimination and towards intercultural understanding.

The training course will be based on using non – formal techniques and methods, such as:
discussions, problem solving techniques, mediations tools, pedagogical games, debates,
brainstorming, and plenary sessions with presentations by experts and participants,
knowledge sharing and best practices and simulations.

The event will be held in English. There are 2 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

TRAINING IN ALBANIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS - URGENT

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called EVS: Challenges, Improvements and Trendswhich will take place in 1st until 8th October 2013 in Durres, Albania.

The seminar will bring together 36 youth workers from EU, SEE and Caucasus regions who are working with European Voluntary Service and voluntarism in local level.

The seminar aims at developing competencies of youth workers working with EVS and the capacity of youth NGOs as Hosting and Sending organizations, particularly in the context of cooperation with neighboring countries. The seminar will give the participants the opportunity not only to expand their knowledge and skills but also to establish working relationships, aimed at future cooperation in terms of sending and hosting volunteers. In addition, the seminar will seek empowerment of youth leader and youth workers with the competencies of active participation and inclusion.

The seminar will be implemented on basis of non-formal education, with a mosaic of several methods that are linked in the day by day program in order to assure the best space to learn, share and connect for all the participants that shall be trainers, youth workers, active leaders in youth work and those involved in participation projects in different levels.

The event will be held in English. There are 2 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called YOUth & Conflictwhich will take place in 5th until 13th October 2013 in Kobuleti, Georgia.

This training course explores adolescence, youth culture, popular culture, and participation, the concept of citizenship, conflict transformation, and youth work, linking in with the recognition of youth work in different countries.

Aim
To explore how to overcome issues of youth culture in conflict with society in order to work towards stronger participation of young people in society

Objectives
~ To study and understand better the concept of adolescence
~ To understand better what it is that young people fight against
~ To understand better why it is that society is so often scared of including young people
~ To explore the phenomena of youth protest – peaceful and violent
~ To understand better the concept of citizenship
~ To know how to use conflict transformation tools for better youth work
~ To learn about youth work and how to promote it for recognition

This event will bring together 24 participants from Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine, Turkey, Czech Republic, Estonia, Portuga and Spain. The event will be held in English. There are 3 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

TRAINING IN GERMANY - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called From Scratch to Actionwhich will take place in 07th until 14th October 2013 in Berlin, Germany.

It is an international training course directed to managers working already in NGOs as well as experienced youth workers who are planning to establish own organisation in the future.
Main AIM of the project is to rise the capacity of participants in the organisational management of association working in favour of youth:

v  providing knowledge and skills in the management of NGO
v  sharing good practices from the daily work of participants
v  creating a toolbox of practical solutions 
v  creating strategic plan for the future cooperation
v  establishing new NGOs working in favour of youth in participating countries
v  empowering active participation in youth work on the European level

As a result of the project we will create a model of organisation, which can be adjusted to the particular needs of every participating group. Such model will be an example of practical solutions and a good base to start a new organisation from the very beginning.

This event will bring together 24 participants from Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, Romania and Great Britain. The event will be held in English. There are 2 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

EXCHANGE IN SLOVENIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS - URGENT!

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called Ditching the Wifi for the Wildlife” which will take place in 25th August until 03rd September 2013 in Jezersko, Slovenia.

The main goals of the project are: gain experience of life in nature, getting to know traditional, sustainable ways of living with nature, getting familiar with the basics of mountaineering, broaden awareness of the present state in the field of actively spending free time in nature, causes for that state and discuss possible solutions for improvement, share experiences, share ideas of European Union and broaden results of the project in local areas.

For successful implementation we will perform activities like: mountain hiking, discussions, workshops, national nights around the camping fire, visit of adrenaline park, learning of old methods of working with local people, visiting surroundings and playing team building games. We believe methods like: working in groups, public speaking, reflections, sport activities, brainstorming, learning with active participation will help us reach good results and successfully promote active spending of free time in nature throughout Europe.  

This Exchange will bring together 35 participants from Estonia, Turkey, Malta, Czech Republic and Slovenia, France and Romania. The exchange will be held in English. There are 5 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

TRAINING IN GEORGIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS - URGENT

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called Leave your Traces – Fill the Empty Spaceswhich will take place in 8th until 15th September 2013 in Kobuleti, Georgia.

The training aims to obtain the skills and raise competencies about active participation, empowerment and involvement of young people as well as about the establishment of local self-initiatives. Therefore, the training aims to build a contribution to the involvement of young people in local and regional activities and help them to increase initiatives dealing with a variety of youth issues. The expected outcome of the training are trained youth workers, young leaders and young people willing and able to set up new creative local youth initiatives on issues of local concerns in their surrounding communities.

OBJECTIVES:
To develop a common understanding of participation and explore instruments for its promotion
To develop the participants' understanding of the key principles of youth participation;
among groups of young people who have fewer opportunities in civil society or youth activities at local and regional level;
To get familiar with various concepts and methodologies for developing youth initiatives;
To improve participants’ skills in project-management (related to participation projects);
To develop participants’ competence in using the revised European Charter on the Participation of Young People in Local and Regional Life /publication of Council of Europe/
To encourage exchange of good practices on building and management of youth participation projects;
This event will bring together 24 participants from European Union countries and Eastern Europe and Caucasus. The event will be held in English. There are 3 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.
