TRAINING COURSE IN AUSTRIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called Change your View on Migration” which will take place from 27th March until 03rd April 2017 in Velden am Wölthersee, Austria.

"Change your View on Migration" is a training course designed to explain and develop deeper understanding about migration in nowadays world. Couple of last months has shown how big the phenomenon actually is and that there's a big lack of knowledge among youth workers. Migration is a crucial interest to young people whether they come from countries affected by in-migration and those suffering the consequences (and reaping benefits) of emigration. Knowledge of migration processes, the causes and consequences of migration and rights of young migrants are relevant to young people’s needs particularly if they are likely to become migrants or participants of mobility schemes or if their home communities are affected by migration.

Competences in addressing migration in youth work are essential for building community cohesion in those countries.
The main aim of the training course is to develop youth workers/leaders competences in the field of migration to give them proper tools and methods to help young people to adapt with the situation of high migration level in all its aspects. Solidarity, tolerance and integration are fundamental values that TC intends to promote. Activities will focus on the principles of intercultural dialogue and social inclusion, from both, European and global level. The challenges of migration, such as inclusion and integration of migrants, require development of solidarity and tolerance, and the TC aims to equip participants with tools to spread these values among young people, to contribute to the promotion of a more open and informed society that offers the same opportunities to everyone.

This event will bring together 30 participants from Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Slovakia and Cyprus. The event will be held in English. There are 2 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old and involved on the youth field.

YOUTH EXCHANGE IN FRANCE - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange named Active participation is a step for democracy which will take place from 20th until 27th February 2017 in Strasbourg, France.

Democracy essentially has two principles; autonomy of the individuals and principle of equality. Within these principles no individual can be subject to the rules imposed upon him and every individual has the right to speak on the decisions that will affect himself/herself .These principles also include the moral justification of democracy, It is often claimed that democratic system offers a more efficient form of government and their justification is the easier adoption of the decisions by people in the democracies and the tendency for not breaking the rules that they made. Because the decisions are taken with the consensus of different segments of the society, people are more likely to approve these decisions and those rules would not be realistic if they are not accepted by a large fraction of the population. In a democratic society, government should include NGOs and individuals in the decision-making processes.

Even though it arises as a problem, other studies shows that participation started to increase in different aspects. Growing number of civil society organizations and increasing visibility of the civil initiatives and youth organizations in the society shows that participation is on a rise, but in a different way. However, it is inevitable to face bigger problems in the future because of the descending participation rate.

This event will bring together 37 participants from Turkey, Estonia, Hungary, Croatia, Spain and France. There are 5 vacancies available. Participant should be minimum 18 until 30 years old.

The event will be held in English.
The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 170 euros. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur per participant.

All the interested people should fill the application form below. The application form must be sent to marco@nyh.ee
