EXCHANGE IN ROMANIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called ““IDEA - Involving Youth in Democratic Election and an Active Civic Life”” which will take place in 10^th until 19th March 2014 in Sibiu, Romania.

As to promote European Parliament’s elections and to increase participation to the vote is one of the main priorities of European Union for 2014, we will focus our project on improve Young people's active participation in the European Parliament elections.

In this respect our project specific objectives are to promote the non-formal education based on theatre/drama techniques as a tool for improving youth's civic participation at the level of participants active in grassroots or community-based youth organizations from 7 different EU countries and to foster the "European Citizen feeling" (and one of the most important right, the right to vote) and encourage participation in the 2014 European elections and enabling in this way young people who will going to vote for the first time in May 2014 not only to behave as active, informed citizens but also to become information multipliers at the level of their organizations and convince other young persons of the importance of participation to the poll, especially and on the importance of being an active European Citizen in general.

The event will be held in English. There are 5 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old. There will be in total 28 participants from Romania, Estonia, Portugal, Italy, Poland and Bulgaria.

The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

EXCHANGE IN MACEDONIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called "Democracy Lab No.1: Youth movement for democracy!" which will take place in 04^th until 12^th April 2014 in Struga, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (Macedonia).

The main aim of the project is to provide an opportunity for young people to understand better the concept of democracy through analyzing different political systems and to spread that knowledge in order to make positive contribution in their communities. Thus, the project will involve youngsters from different backgrounds to share their ideas and opinions about the advantages and disadvantages of different political systems and by that, to put an accent on the importance of understanding the benefits and opportunities of living in a democratic society.

Therefore, through non-formal educational methods, such as role plays, open discussions, skills development workshops, etc., this project will enable participants to gain knowledge about the proposed political systems in order to realize the differences between them, which aims to better understanding of democracy as the most common political system used in the European countries.

The event will be held in English. There are 6 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old. There will be 30 young people from European Union and South East Europe involved in the event.

The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

EXCHANGE IN TURKEY - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “We Are Getting Growth” which will take place in 15^th until 22^nd May 2014 in Sorgun, Turkey.

We aim to prevent young people from forgetting the games now hardly playing outside with groups by giving a chance for our young people and Europe youth to play them. These games playing in the past by our elders now as a part of countries’ cultures disappearing gradually and they are buried with our ancestors.

We will share our local and cultural games which are forgotten or on the point of being forgotten. We also get to know each other closer with the activities and saloon works. By playing the games in our culture each partner will convey the experiences which they will gain from the games to the youth in their local. Therefore, not only will they learn our games and share them with their youth in their country but also we will play and learn their games. The moments in which we play games and enjoy our time will form our common play culture. In this way, young people will see that actually they have common things even in differences.

By having young people come together, our project will provide young people who have not come into interaction with any different culture before and will help them to see similarities and differences among them.

The event will be held in English. There are 5 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old. There will be 30 young people from Turkey, Estonia, Lithuania, France, Latvia and Italy.

EXCHANGE IN ROMANIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “Empowering Youth for Sustainable Business” which will take place in 15^th until 23^rd May 2014 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

Project's aim is to develop entrepreneurial skills for young people in order to prepare them for starting sustainable business. Some of the exchange’s objectives are: development of skills like leadership, teamwork, negotiation, sales, self-management, increasing the entrepreneurial mind-set, raising the awareness of sustainable business among the participants.

Objectives will be accomplished through activities like Project/business lab, Leadership training, Values negotiations, Setting my life, Beyond stereotypes-open space, My country is going green, Let’s build a car and others. Methods used during the project belong to non-formal education. We will use world cafe, brainstorming, green drama, games, training, and treasure hunt among others.

There will be groups from Romania, Estonia, Czech Republic, Italy and Spain in a total of 25 participants.

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS - TRAINING IN SERBIA

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called “Employment Out of the Box” which will take place in 01^st until 08^th March 2014 in Banja Vrujci, Serbia.

Employment out of box is a training course for youth leader and workers who want to develop creativity as an essential competence to open the job market. The project will be based in Serbia, Banja Vrujci, and the main topic is to understand the new paradigm of the youth employment in Europe and how a creative approach together with the right attitude can open many doors and the market for young people.

The training course uses methods of experiential learning as role plays, simulations and drama methods and group sharing methods as small and large group discussions. Together, we will be working out and improving ' new methods' on how to raise awareness of youngsters for participation in their local community and beyond. All over mission of the training course is to find the ways how to improve young people chances to succeed in the very dynamic job market.

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS - TRAINING IN KOSOVO - URGENT!

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called “EUWAY” which will take place in 21^st February until 1^st March 2014 in Pristina, Kosovo.

The proposed training course is dedicated to European citizenship and youth participation in view to contribute to a cohesive and just European community. As a starting point the current situation of young people in the EU and its neighborhood region will be discussed, focusing specifically on young people with fewer opportunities. Then concepts of participation will be framed by putting them into the context of European citizenship and investigating on the accessibility of EU institutions and decision-making processes for young Europeans and their concerns. At the end, based on the newly gained insights, the participants will be asked to develop participatory projects aiming at the inclusion of young people and social cohesion in Europe starting from the local level.

Methodology: The training course is based on a non-formal and trainee centered approach putting the needs and abilities of the participants into the center of the activity. A wide range of educational methods will be applied ranging from role plays, simulation exercises, workshops, and short interactive exercises.

The applied methodology shall foster the participants’ learning process and exchange of competences among them by involving them emotionally and by providing learning opportunities based on practical examples. Therefore, whenever applicable individual experiences will present the basis for learning and development of understanding of the issue in discussion.

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS - YOUTH EXCHANGE IN GEORGIA! URGENT

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “Be active, be a citizen!” which will take place in 25^th February until 07^th March 2014 in Bakuriani, Georgia.

The Youth Exchange “Be active, be a citizen!” aims at an introduction of young participants to the field of youth empowerment and inclusion. The YE aims to help youngsters to become active members of the society and improve their capacities to organise and lead actions and projects targeting their own needs and interests.

“Be active, be a citizen!” will explore different possibilities of youth participation and will set a platform to learn how young people can take an active role at local and international level, in order to make their voice heard regarding youth current challenges in their countries. Different tools and approaches for active participation of young people and means of influencing and creating youth policy on local, national and international level will be core elements of the Youth Exchange. Last but not least, the Youth Exchange shall contribute to develop the capacity of civil society organisations and individuals working with and for young people to aggregate their interests and needs on social reality and political agenda.

Participants will also organize a street action in Bakuriani/Borjomi, in order to understand their capacity to self-organize and perform actions by themselves, the process behind them and to have a local impact in the community.

The specific target group of the project is youth volunteering or working with inclusion of marginalized groups, protection of Human Rights, volunteering policies and programmes, democracy and election observation, employability and education, etc.
