YOUTH EXCHANGE IN PORTUGAL - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “Time to Act” which will take place in 24^th August until 4^th September 2015 in Oeiras, Portugal.

The Youth Exchange “Time to Act” has as main topics:

- Healthy lifestyle, active ageing

- Inclusion – equity

- EU Citizenship, EU awareness and Democracy

The objectives of this project are

- "To Improve the level of key competences and skills of young people, including those with fewer opportunities, as well as to promote participation in democratic life in Europe and the labour market, active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity"

- "Foster quality improvements in youth work, in particular through enhanced cooperation between organisations in the youth field and/or other stakeholders"

- To promote among young people and the community in general the Erasmus program + in its various aspects

In order to achieve the objectives, we will promote different activities, like:

- Food raising in a local supermarket

- Volunteering actions

- Street Action

- Recycling and environmental activities

- Sport activities that promote social inclusion

- Final festival opened to all the community

Through all these activities, we want to highlight not only the cultural differences that show the identity of each country, but above all the similarities that connect the participant countries, as a way of fight against stereotypes and contribute to the development of a more inclusive Europe.

This event will bring together 49 participants from Portugal, Spain, Italy, Romania, France, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Estonia. The event will be held in English. There are 6 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old until 30 years old.

The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants (up to 400 euros). There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “We Are Europe” which will take place in 3^rd until 14^th August 2015 in Lisbon, Portugal.

The young people will take part in several activities under the main topics of European Awareness and Education through sport and outdoor activities. Each day there will be a subject regarding Europe and activities to explore that subject. Some examples are European Citizenship, Culture, Heritage, Sports, Youth or Environment.

The young people will have the chance to know the local community and to have contact with the Portuguese culture and habits and share at the same time their own culture with the other members of the group. It’s also planned a “Market of Cultures” where each group will present his own country and culture to the community.

In the end of the youth exchange we hope that the young people become more aware of their role in the society and about the importance of Intercultural Dialogue to reach one more inclusive Europe. We also hope that this can be the beginning of several individual and group projects in each participant home town. Throughout the project duration young people will participate in creative workshops, group building activities, country presentations, an excursion, group discussions, meeting local volunteers.

They will explore different techniques, new ways of expressing trough sports. Participants will also spend a day with local community, where they will have an opportunity to get to know more about Portugal and our reality.

TRAINING IN DENMARK - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS!!!

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called “Leadership Lab” which will take place in 17^th until 25^th May 2015 in Bornholm, Denmark.

The main aim of the project is based on the fact that group leaders from different NGOs are in charge to increase the quality of Youth Exchanges through finding appropriate models of motivating youth to actively participate during the implementation of the project by gaining new skills and knowledge.

The project’s methodology will be based on the concept of an incubator which aims to find this form of motivation where the leader plays the role of a facilitator who knows how to involve and motivate youngsters. During the training course participants will also be provided with sufficient assistance and help to develop their competences and become more active in the field of international youth work.

The objectives are:

• To promote and facilitate the active approach to building appropriate models of motivation
• To achieve the results and disseminate it (use gained experience in practice, in local organizations, in international projects)
• To raise understanding of the role in Youth Exchanges and knowledge on personal and professional development in youth work and other fields.
• To facilitate reflection on the personal motivation to be a leader, self-evaluation.
• To build up creative and communication skills, support intercultural exchange, foster mutual understanding between young people in different countries (it helps to increase quality of Youth Exchanges)
• To work on the key competences for active participation among youngsters

This event will bring together 27 participants from Denmark, Estonia, United Kingdom, Belgium, Ireland, Spain, Italy and Slovenia. The event will be held in English. There are 3 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants (up to 275 euros). There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

TRAINING IN IRELAND - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Seminar called “Stand Up / Stand out – Pride for Youth” which will take place in 20^th until 27^th June 2015 in Wellington Bridges, Ireland.

This Partnership Building Activity provides an opportunity to explore deeper the participation of LGBT young people in Europe, find project partners and improve LGBT young people´s participation at local and international level.

The objectives are:

• To raise the knowledge of LGBT young person’s issues
• To explore the challenges for LGBT young people
• To build awareness of LGBT in your organisation
• To explore the national reality of your LGBT youth policy & practice
• To share the experience and participation practices of your organisation
• To find international partners
• To develop international projects
• To develop specific proposals for future projects
• To learn more about the funding possibilities of the Erasmus+ Programme.

The methodology used will be Non-formal interactive methods: group work, discussion, sharing, intercultural activities, workshops, exchange of experience, theory and practice, exploring the local reality, reflection

• Ready to cooperate in an Erasmus+ Project 
• Want to learn more about the Erasmus+ programme
• Are willing and able to communicate in English

This event will bring together 18 participants from 11 countries from Programme countries of European Union and Partner Countries from Eastern Europe and Caucasus. The event will be held in English. There is 1 vacancy available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants (up to 310 euros). There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

TRAINING IN SICILY - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called “MotivACTION” which will take place in 10^th until 17^th June 2015 in Nicolosi (Sicily), Italy.

“MotivACTION” is a Training Course based on the aim to develop motivational skills of youth exchange leaders towards young participants, stimulating their active participation. The formation of leaders of various NGOs will increase the quality of youth exchanges and youth projects through the search for appropriate models of motivation.

The main idea underlying the project involves the development of different forms of motivation that they see the leader, not as a teacher or a mentor, but a situation in which these leaders play the role of a facilitators who know how to motivate and engage young people.

The Aims are:

• Promote and facilitate the active approach to construct adequate models of motivation;

• Achieve the results of the project and disseminate them, using the experience gained in everyday life, in local organizations or in international projects;

• Increase the understanding of the role of leader in youth exchanges, youth projects and increase knowledge on personal and professional development in youth work and other fields;

• Facilitate reflection and self-evaluation on the personal motivation to be a leader;

• Build capacities and creative communication, support intercultural exchange, mutual understanding between young people in different countries, through the new competencies and skills gained will help to improve the quality of youth projects;

• Work on the skills that are key to active participation among young people.

This event will bring together 36 participants from 18 countries from Programme countries of Erasmus +. The event will be held in English. There are 2 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants (up to 335 euros). There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

SEMINAR IN AUSTRIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS!!!

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Seminar called “Next Step – Strategy For Inclusion” which will take place in 03^th until 08^th May 2015 in Deutschlandsberg, Austria.

The PBA “Next Step – Strategy For Inclusion” will gather 21 active project coordinators and youth workers from NGO’s or associations involved in youth work from Program and Partner Countries to reinforce the partnership in the framework of EU Erasmus+ Youth in order to create qualitative projects and cooperation’s based on „Accessible/Inclusive projects for All” approach.

During this seminar participants will have not only the possibility to get to know each other and create future cooperation frames (with focus on long term partnerships tackling inclusive projects), but also have possibility to get familiar with the terminology of inclusive youth project, analyze the meaning of the term “youngster with fewer opportunities”, share their tools and best practices and find common understanding of “Accessible/inclusive project” that it can be adopted in fallow up projects. They will discover how to use

Erasmus+ as a tool for Inclusion of youngster. The project will use non formal education methods and it will based on active participation balancing theoretical input with practical ones (learning by doing, simulations, etc.).

The objectives of the PBA:

- To get to know each other personally and professionally and build trust and partnership

among promoters

- To foster networking among participants and create space for project’s building

- To increase knowledge and competencies about inclusive youth work

- To strengthen the collaboration and cooperation on European level in the field of inclusion

This event will bring together 21 participants from 19 countries from Programme countries of European Union and Partner Countries from South East Europe, Eastern Europe and Caucasus and Russia. The event will be held in English. There is 1 vacancy available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants (up to 275 euros). There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called “#YOUTHMENTARY: EVS for Youth Workers” which will take place in 06^th until 13^th May 2015 in Nicolosi (Sicily), Italy.

"#YOUTHMENTARY: EVS for Youth Workers" is a training course for youth workers who work and are willing to continue working with the ERASMUS+ Programme Action reserved to the European Voluntary Service. The basic idea of this project is to provide an opportunity for youth workers, Sending Organisations and Hosting Organisations mentors (and future mentors) from countries other than the EU and the EEA and with diverse backgrounds to meet in Italy and use the opportunity to exchange their experiences, discuss the various positive and negative situations that are created as part of the EVS. This training course aims therefore to give participants the knowledge, skills and attitudes to develop the work in the EVS with partner countries. In addition, the project aims at the creation of personal contacts between participants and potential sending organizations and hosting partner for the European Voluntary Service.

This event will bring together 38 participants from 18 countries from Programme countries of European Union and Partner Countries from South East Europe. The event will be held in English. There are 3 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.
