Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants
for a Training Course called “Leave your Traces – Fill the Empty Spaces” which
will take place in 8th
until 15th September 2013 in Kobuleti, Georgia.
The
training aims to obtain the skills and raise competencies about active
participation, empowerment and involvement of young people as well as about the
establishment of local self-initiatives. Therefore, the training aims to build
a contribution to the involvement of young people in local and regional
activities and help them to increase initiatives dealing with a variety of
youth issues. The expected outcome of the training are trained youth workers,
young leaders and young people willing and able to set up new creative local
youth initiatives on issues of local concerns in their surrounding communities.
OBJECTIVES:
• To develop a common understanding of participation and
explore instruments for its promotion
• To develop the participants' understanding of the key principles of youth participation;
among groups of young people who have fewer opportunities in civil society or youth activities at local and regional level;
• To get familiar with various concepts and methodologies for developing youth initiatives;
• To improve participants’ skills in project-management (related to participation projects);
• To develop participants’ competence in using the revised European Charter on the Participation of Young People in Local and Regional Life /publication of Council of Europe/
• To encourage exchange of good practices on building and management of youth participation projects;
• To develop the participants' understanding of the key principles of youth participation;

This
event will bring together 24 participants from European Union countries and
Eastern Europe and Caucasus. The event will be held in English. There are 3 vacancies
available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.
The
Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and
activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel
costs. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.
