TRAINING COURSE IN GERMANY - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS!

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called ACT Non- Formal” which will take place from 16th until 24th March 2017 in Wiefelstede, Germany.

The goals of "Act Non-Formal" are to provide new innovative methods to international youth organisations that can be applied on a local level in their daily activities, especially in order to include young people from marginalised groups, refugees, youngsters with minority background, people with disabilities and other groups with fewer opportunities.

It is connected with the goals of the Erasmus+, as it provides new innovative methods and skills for youth workers to include marginalised youth into the society and provides opportunities for them to develop skills, Furthermore, it brings young people from different cultures closer together, and it helps young people to express and reflect their opinion, gain self-confidence and take active part in the society. The methods that the youth workers will learn during this project will help them to work in their local communities to foster cultural diversity, understanding and implementation of common European values, such as tolerance and respect of human rights.

Basics of drama and creative writing - The participants will learn how to approach, address, work with disadvantaged groups - minorities, refugees, disabilities, young people without self-confidence etc. We will have several workshops that give introductions to basics of drama education that can be used for all target groups of young people, continuing with statues what is non-verbal expression and are useful working with young people that have language barriers and lack of self-confidence.

Improv theatre and theatre of the oppressed - we will introduce two very different techniques that are applicable for two different target groups: improvised theatre as a tool for the participants useful for young people with disabilities and theatre of the oppressed for target group of marginalised youth. We will have a workshop on teamwork in non-formal education and working in an international team. This is important for the youth workers as most of the times working in pairs is common in non-formal education and a smooth cooperation is essential for a good learning outcome when working with youth.

This event will bring together 38 participants from Germany, Italy, Greece, United Kingdom, Malta, Romania, Bulgaria, Estonia and Spain. The event will be held in English. There are 4 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 255 euros. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

All the interested people should fill the application form below. The application form must be sent to marco@nyh.ee
