TRAINING IN ENGLAND - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called Action! - Film and Drama as tools for community development which will take place from 20th until 26th April 2016 in Windsor, United Kingdom.

The training is based on working with young people using film and drama as tools to explore social issues, and to support young people to tell their own stories.
The methods of our work is that young people are the experts on their lives and situations, and that our role is to help give disadvantaged young people a voice, to empower them to share their perspectives, to support them to develop and create their own films.
Film is an increasingly relevant medium for working with young people; with most phones anyone can make and upload a decent quality video, whilst modern digital cameras & editing software mean that any group can make a broadcast standard short on a modest budget.
The course will show you how to work with your group to develop ideas, create stories and take a film from script to screen, with the young people delivering every aspect of the process.
You will learn exercises and techniques for developing characters and storylines; how to keep the whole group involved & engaged; how to approach difficult or challenging subjects; and how to manage creative conflict.
There will be practical film making sessions; both on how to develop your own film making skills, but more importantly on how to share this with the young people. As well as technical skills, we will look at how to involve young people in scheduling, budgeting and running their film project. These are all skills highly relevant to the 21st Century workplace.

This event will bring together 24 participants from European Union and neighboring countries. The event will be held in English. There are 2 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 275 euros. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.
